We welcome all who wish to join in our commitment to the important mission of protecting and preserving natural open space. You can help us succeed in our critical mission by donating time, money or by directly donating land or development rights to your land.
We encourage you to become a member. We especially welcome individuals who would like to assist us with our efforts. Please contact us if you have time to volunteer on the land!
Our generous donors have been critical to our success. Thank you!
You can help by making a donation online or by mailing a donation to:
Winding River Land Conservancy
c/o Franklin Land Trust
P.O. Box 450
Shelburne Falls, MA 01370
Checks should be made out to "Franklin Land Trust" with "WRLC" in the memo line.
Your donation will be earmarked for projects in the Winding River Land Conservancy service area.
We also greatly appreciate generous donations made in memory or honor of others. If you wish to donate to Winding River Land Conservancy as a way of remembering those who have passed or thanking important people in your life, please make note of that on your check or online contribution and we will honor that request appropriately.
Past gifts of land donation and development restrictions on land have always inspired the Winding River Land Conservancy board and our closest supporters. If you are willing to consider donating your land or a restriction on your property please call us at 413-625-9151 or email Tom Curren tcurren@franklinlandtrust.org. For some families or individuals this will offer significant tax benefits.
If families are willing to protect their land but are not in a position to donate the land or a development restriction without some financial benefit other than tax benefits, WRLC will work with families to see if there are ways to raise funds for this land conservation effort. There are many tools that we can use to achieve your goals. We have outlined some of our conservation tool options in this brochure.
Many of our protected lands are open for hikers to enjoy.
